WCHF receives First Thrivent Choice Program Donation

Reference my earlier post WCHF enrolled in Thrivent Choice Program. We recently received our first donation through the Thrivent Choice Program!

Jerry Knuth, WCHF Secretary, wrote:

“Following up on your recent announcement about WCHF now being eligible for Thrivent Choice Dollars, I gave the folks at Thrivent a call to make sure the Hall of Fame is now listed.  It is, so I have directed Choice Dollars to be wired to the WCHF Bank Account. I’m told that the wire transfer should go out at the end of next week and will show up on the next Bank Statement. It’s a start toward our 100th WCHF Inductee Fundraiser.

Natural Resources Foundation has new Executive Director

Natural Resources Foundation has new Executive Director

WCHF Board member Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin (NRF) will be holding their 2019 Open House on November 7, 2019 to celebrate their new office space and welcome their new Executive Director, David Clutter! David will be the NRF’s representative to the WCHF Board of Directors.

Plan to stop by their new office on Paterson Street in Madison for light refreshments, good company and an opportunity to meet Foundation members and partners in conservation.

The Wisconsin Pollinator Protection Fund

The Wisconsin Pollinator Protection Fund

Anonymous members of WCHF voting member organization Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin recently donated $500,000 to establish the Wisconsin Pollinator Protection Fund which will support native pollinator conservation across the State. This donation requires a matching donation to establish a permanent endowment fund for Wisconsin pollinator conservation.

Goals of the program include:

  1. capacity building for Wisconsin polliantor conservation
  2. habitat creation and enhancement
  3. research and monitoring
  4. education and outreach
